#19: It’s “Whom”
We’re all guilty of incorrectly using a big, smart-sounding word incorrectly in a sentence. It’s fun to sound smart, but it’s important to know how to use that new fancy word correctly. Otherwise, the intelligent-sounding word you’ve learned makes you look not-so-intelligent. Plus, fancier words can lead to more confusion than necessary.
It’s always fun to add new words to your vocabulary, but this boss took it too far. They would add fun, fancy words to their writing whenever they could. Resplendent vocabulary often makes matters more flummoxing rather than fastidious. Nothing wrong with keeping the language simple, and it makes the employee’s jobs easier. (See what we did there?).
