#9: Karyn Parsons
The freshest 90s show on Nickelodeon, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, starred Will Smith along with Karyn Parsons, Will’s cousin, valley girl Hilary. The duo inspired plenty of laughs together for seven seasons until the acting cast felt the show had run its course. It still remains one of Nickelodeon’s most beloved shows of all time in many millennials’ eyes.
The show received plenty of awards for preparations/performances both on and off screen, along with an Emmy nomination. Parsons went on to play in a few more acting roles. However, ultimately, she decided to undertake another passion closer to her heart. Parsons started her own company called Sweet Blackberry, which funds animated films about unsung heroes in black history.
