#28: Extra Points
Every new record in college football is an amazing feat. Every time, it seems like there’s no way another team or player can break such a record. We’re here to remind everyone to never say never. In 2014, Florida State set an amazing new record for the highest number of points scored in a single season. The new record? A staggering 723 points in one season.
This record was previously held by the Oklahoma Sooners, who scored 716 points in 2008. The Sooners’ record remained undefeated for six years until Florida State hit the field with an amazing offensive strategy. The Florida State team may not be the highest-scoring team in the NCAA, but this record is still pretty notable.
