Engelbert Humperdinck – Now 87 Yeas Old
Engelbert Humperdinck, born Arnold George Dorsey in 1936, is a British pop singer known for his smooth vocals and charismatic stage presence. Before adopting his stage name, he performed under the name Gerry Dorsey. He gained international fame in the 1960s with hits like Release Me and The Last Waltz.
Interestingly, his stage name was inspired by the famous 19th-century composer Engelbert Humperdinck, known for his opera Hansel and Gretel. Despite his success in the music industry, Humperdinck remains one of the few artists to have never charted within the UK Top 20, yet he continues to perform and maintain a dedicated fan base worldwide.
