Who Needs Crust?
Just like physical heirlooms, family recipes that have been used for generations are just as sacred. To be able to recreate the same dish that your beloved family member once did over and again can really give you a sense of continuity.

Apparently, you can get so nervous about screwing it up that you actually forget a key ingredient. It is pretty funny imagining that someone actually forgot to prepare pie crust when they were recreating their grandmother’s chocolate pie for Thanksgiving.
