“I See Dead People”: People Share Ominous Stories of Times Kids Communicated with the Other Side

This kid took the “horror summer camp” trope to the next level. This summer camp counselor was trying to discipline a kid, but his comeback stopped her dead cold. She jokingly commented that playing rough could kill her, and then she wouldn’t be able to play anymore. What he said in response was as creepy and disturbing as possible.

Instead of acting chastised, he said, “No, but I can play with you.” Uh, no, thank you. This response is doubly creepy because it could mean he’d play at summer camp with her ghost or literal dead body. Maybe it’s a good rule of thumb to just avoid joking about murder with kids altogether, in case they’re psycho killers.
