#4: Fully Baked
This is another excellent reason to brine a turkey, or at least season it and rub it down with oil. If you don’t want crispy black skin, you need to prepare it properly and ensure you’re cooking it at the right temperature for the right amount of time. Honestly, this looks like someone tried a shortcut.

If you aren’t much of a cook, let me give you a little nugget of knowledge. A higher temp may cook things more quickly, but it doesn’t necessarily cook them more thoroughly on the INSIDE. My guess is they ran out of time, decided to up the temperature of the oven, and had to blacken the skin to get it cooked through.
