#25: PERL From 35,000 Feet
It’s lucky we’ve helped you out here with an illustrative picture because I know the punch here might not be immediately apparent to all of you. It’s an unlikely coincidence because this person was learning PERL in order to work in a different country, a goal that demanded they fly at 35,000 feet.

I’m not sure that the actual language learning took place on the airplane ride, but even so, it’s a pretty cool gesture on the part of whoever wrote the textbook. They simply must have known that one person one day would get a job in a different country demanding they learn the computer language, PERL.
