Statistically Unlikely Events That Happened to Everyday People

Oh my gosh! This person describes their experience extremely calmly for something that must have actually been quite traumatic. The casual addition of the fact that “not sure anyone survived” couldn’t have seemed more routine in the way it was just casually thrown in there. Maybe it’s a coping method.

We certainly hope there were survivors. An airplane crashing into the ocean isn’t a particularly routine event. Wikipedia’s list of air crashes in the ocean doesn’t even number that many. And to witness that in a storm from your boat? That must be a pretty crazy experience… A potentially life-changing event…
