#41: Too Gory
Alfred Hitchcock is one of the most legendary filmmakers in history, well-known for his horror films and unique style. Even if you aren’t a fan of the horror/thriller genre, there’s still a good chance you’ve seen at least one of his iconic films. And if you are a fan of the genre and have seen all of his work, there’s still a good chance you didn’t know this next fact.

Part of the reason why the iconic film Psycho was shot in black and white has to do with the low budget – but that wasn’t the only reason. It was also an artistic choice made by Hitchcock after he received some feedback that the movie – and the shower scene in particular – was too gory.
