Ready for a depressing statistic? The United States has the fewest paid leave days in the world. It’s also toward the bottom of the list when it comes to paid vacation days. Other parts of the world have dubbed America the “no vacation nation.” They have a point.

Countries in other parts of the world have way more vacation time than the average American. In fact, certain countries require their employed citizens to take time off of work. Can you imagine? Taking time off of work and resting is essential for mental health and wellness. Also, studies have shown that rest actually increases productivity in the long run.
