Kellie Pickler’s prom dress probably set a precedent at her high school (and high schools over the country) as to what students should not be allowed to wear to prom. I mean, we’re all here for feminism and letting girls dress however they like, but this is a school event, after all. Either way, we can’t deny she looks gorgeous.

The American country music singer attended her high school prom only a 18 months before participating in American Idol in 2005, at the age of 19. She reached the top 12 on the show, and went on to have a prolific career in the music industry. Today, she’s known for her catchy country tunes.
