Asking for a raise is always nerve-wracking. You don’t know how your boss will react, and it’s extra stressful when you’re in desperate need of some extra money. Knowing what kind of behaviors your boss sees as “raise worthy” can help your odds of receiving said raise. That is, if the behaviors are trackable.

Adding fun into a workplace always lightens the atmosphere and makes work more enjoyable, but there’s a difference between adding fun and messing with people’s lively hood. This boss gave out raises for the most random and bizarre things, making receiving one a guessing game. Not a cool thing to do when you’re trying to earn a living wage.
